Pentecost Regime Change

May 19, 2013 Preacher: Series: General

Passage: Acts 2:1–41

Point # 1 Pentecost regime change is seen by Israel in the pouring out of the Spirit on “all” people (vs. 1-32).

- We are now living in the New Age of the outpoured Holy Spirit.

- This new age has been ushered in through the death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, who is the Messiah.

- God raised Jesus, who is the Messiah, from the dead in accordance with Scriptures, and was seen by witnesses.

Point # 2 Pentecost regime change is confirmed by God in exalting Jesus to his right hand and bestowing upon him the Name above every name (vs. 33-36).

Point # 3 Pentecost regime change is believed in by guilty sinners who repent and are baptized for the forgiveness of sins (vs. 37-41).
