“The conscience is our consciousness of what we believe is right or wrong.” (Andrew Neselli)
Point # 1 The Old Covenant temple system of worship was earthly and temporary – not heavenly and eternal. It dealt only with sin’s outward defilement, not the sinner’s defiled conscience. And so it remained for 1500 years . . . until the time of the “new order” (1-10)
Point # 2 Jesus - our eschatological High Priest - accomplished eternal redemption in the heavenly tabernacle, thus cleansing our conscience from acts that lead to death to serve the living God (11-14).
