Bearing Witness Under Persecution: the Good, the Bad, and the Forgiven

Passage: Luke 22:47–71

1.    When Jesus was persecuted, he submitted to God’s will.  So must we.

 

2.    When Jesus was persecuted, he witnessed to himself as the Messiah and future divine judge. So must we. 

 

3.    In contrast, when Peter was persecuted, he denied Jesus.  So do we.
