- The Lord’s Supper symbolizes our unity, our oneness, in the body of Christ (17-22).
- The Lord’s Supper reminds us of Jesus’ death (23–25).
- The Lord’s Supper is the seal of the new covenant (25).
- The Lord’s Supper ought to function evangelistically. It is a proclamation of Christ’s death (26)
- The Lord’s Supper is a temporary rite of anticipation - “until he comes” (26).
- The Lord’s Supper provides an opportunity for self-examination (27-29).
- The Lord’s Supper reminds us of covenantal judgment (30–32).
