                              “The Return of Christ: When and How?”

1. There will be a sudden, personal, visible, bodily return of Christ.
2. We should eagerly long for Christ’s return.
3. We do not know when Christ will return.
4. All Christians agree on the final results of Christ’s return.
5. There is disagreement over the details of future events.
6. Could Christ come back at any time?

• Verses predicting a sudden and unexpected coming of Christ.

Question: Is Jesus’ second coming tied down necessarily to an “any second” kind of thing, with nothing that’s allowed before it? And if so, starting when?  (e.g., After Jesus’ ascension? After Pentecost? After Peter dies? After AD 70?)

• Events that precede Christ’s return (in pastor John’s opinion)
  • The Coming of the Man of Lawlessness and the Rebellion
  • The Final Tribulation
  • The Salvation of Israel
