1. Gentile Christian, our salvation begins with Jesus’ witness to Israel (7:24-30).

2. Gentile Christian, our salvation fulfills Old Testament prophesy (7:31-36).

3. The multiplication of the loaves anticipates the Gentiles later sharing in the “children’s bread.” Out of the surplus of God’s gracious salvation bounty there is more than enough bread to go around, once Israel has been fed (8:1-9a).

4. A warning to all: watch out for the yeast of unbelief! (8:9b-21)
