The Big Idea: Despite the raging rebellion of the world, God has already installed His Son as King - Jesus Christ - and the only wise response is full-hearted submission, for in Him alone is both judgment and refuge.
The Big Idea for Kids: Even when the world is mean and angry, Jesus is still in charge of everything- and
the smartest thing we can do is trust Him, love Him, and follow Him, because He is both strong and safe.

The Psalter as a Story
When read as a whole, the Psalms tell the story of God’s kingdom: the rise of David, the apparent
collapse of his throne, and the sure hope that God will fulfill every promise He has made.
- Book One (Psalms 1–41): Introduces David, the Lord’s chosen king.
- Book Two (Psalms 42–72): Expands the hope of David’s kingdom to the ends of the earth.
- Book Three (Psalms 73–89): Wrestles with the fall of Jerusalem and the seeming failure of God’s promise to David.
- Book Four (Psalms 90–106): Reorients God’s people to the great truth: “The LORD reigns.”
- Book Five (Psalms 107–150): Renews hope for restoration and ends in universal praise.
